- If you are an Out of Area General Practitioner with a patient requesting to have their operation with a SWLEOC Consultant with whom they have a history, it may be advisable to contact your PCT Commissioner to ensure that PCT funding is available. Do call SWLEOC for advice
- Your patient will initially be seen by the Consultant, as soon as possible, at the Base Hospital in his outpatient clinic, where an assessment is made, with regard to the need for surgery. Mr Lemon is based at SWLEOC therefore your patient will be seen in an outpatient clinic here.
- If surgery is required, the Consultant will refer your patient to himself or a colleague at SWLEOC, where they will be treated within 18 weeks of the initial referral from you.
